It was 'Dine Original's' week. Delicious duck, 3 ways.

Deli's and Bookstores the next day.

Gratitude

Gratitude is a funny thing.

If you feel grateful for the little things, then the big things don't seem so difficult.

Today is a rough day, but I feel so grateful for so many things, small and large.

Mostly they are people... because, well, isn't that how it should be?

Here are just a few.

So grateful to see this silly hair and yawn this morning.

Grateful for a yummy breakfast.

Really one of my favorites.

Everso grateful for books. Ohhhh books.

Autumn Mornings

These mid Autumn mornings around my house look a little like this::

Scrummy brekkers (this time baby potatoes, sausage, fried sage, butter, fried egg, goat cheese)

Kids trying to scrape the last of the warm weather into their palms and hold it there as long as humanly possible.

Because somehow wearing an Easter dress, pixie hat, sweater, and fingerless gloves, doesn't quite accept Autumn in.

And riding 'round on a scooter in Boggs and jammies makes a statement that a coat is not quite needed.

We love cookies...

Making cookies is an all time comfort.

Chocolate chip (ok, EXTRA chocolate chip) is the favorite of the kids.

My favorite is oatmeal walnut.

But I'll take any, really.
